According to reports from Sky News, Lucidi was last spotted knocking on a window from the outside of a penthouse suite, which startled a maid within the high-rise, as per the South China Morning Post. The maid promptly alerted the authorities, who arrived at the scene to discover Lucidi’s lifeless body on a nearby patio, alongside his identification and a video camera containing footage of his daring escapades in extreme sports.
Authorities revealed that Remi Lucidi managed to gain entry to the building by convincing a security guard that he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor. He then proceeded to take an elevator, and surveillance footage captured his arrival on the 49th floor. From there, he skillfully made his way to the top floor, where a door had been forcibly opened, signaling the daring act that led to his untimely demise.
Just a week prior to his tragic accident, Lucidi had shared a captivating photo of the Hong Kong skyline on his Instagram account. His feed featured recent selfies taken while hanging precariously from buildings in Dubai, Bulgaria, and Ukraine, showcasing the thrill-seeking lifestyle that defined his passion for extreme sports.
One of Lucidi’s final posts depicted him ascending a tall tower in Bulgaria without any safety gear, along with a poignant caption that read, “Life is too short to chase unicorns.”
