However, Australia received disappointing news as their top scorer, Sam Kerr, suffered a calf injury during training, ruling her out for at least the first two matches.

While England is another strong contender, they face obstacles with key players sidelined due to injuries. Leah Williamson, Fran Kirby, and Beth Mead are all out with knee injuries, impacting the team’s performance.

Group F promises thrilling matches with France and Brazil facing off. Marta, in her final World Cup appearance, will add to the excitement, recalling their memorable Round of 16 clash in 2019, where France emerged victorious with a 2-1 score.

The United States, considered the overall favorites, is experiencing a changing of the guard. Missing some key players due to injuries, the USWMT is witnessing the rise of emerging talents like Sophia Smith and Trinity Rodman. Alongside stalwarts such as Julie Ertz, Rose Lavelle, and Alex Morgan, they aim to send Megan Rapinoe off as a winner in her final World Cup.
