IND vs AUS 3rd T20 : Glenn Maxwell’s brilliant unbeaten 104 helped Australia clinch a thrilling victory over India in the 3rd T20I at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday. Chasing a target of 223, Australia were in a spot of bother at 134/5 in the 14th over before Maxwell made 104 off 48 balls while Matthew Wade supported him(28 not out off 16 balls) stitching together an unbeaten 91-run partnership to take Australia over the line with just four balls to spare.

Maxwell’s innings was a masterclass in power-hitting, as he smashed six sixes and five fours in his 48-ball knock. He was particularly brutal against the spinners, taking apart Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi.

Wade played a crucial supporting role, providing stability to the innings and ensuring that Maxwell was able to play his shots freely. He hit one six and three fours in his unbeaten knock of 28.

For India, Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets for 32 runs. Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan and Axar Patel also chipped in with one wicket each.

Earlier, India had posted a total of 222/3 thanks to a maiden century in T20 internationals by Ruturaj Gaikwad who scored 123 not-out in 57 balls. Suryakumar Yadav (39) and Tilak Verma (31) also made a valuable contributions.

Maxwell’s innings was the turning point of the match, as he single-handedly turned the game on its head. He was well-supported by Wade, and the duo ensured that Australia stayed ahead of the game in the final overs.

The victory was a much-needed one for Australia, who were down 0-2 in the series. They will now look to carry the momentum into the fourth T20I in Raipur on Friday.
