Here are some additional things to keep in mind about the Capital One class action settlement :

The settlement is not a guarantee of payment. Consumers who submit a claim may not receive a payment, depending on the number of claims that are submitted and the amount of money available in the settlement fund.

The settlement is not an admission of guilt by Capital One. Capital One has denied any wrongdoing, but it has agreed to settle the claims in order to avoid further litigation.

If you are considering filing a claim, you should carefully review the settlement agreement and speak with an attorney to discuss your options.

By understanding the basics of the Capital One class action settlement, consumers can make an informed decision about whether or not to participate.
