The “Venom” movie star Tom Hardy surprised everyone when he entered a martial arts tournament a few days ago and guess what…he won. As stated in The Guardian, Hardy was a surprise competitor at the 2022 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship in Milton Keynes, England. The action star entered the competition under his real name, Edward Hardy, and won the gold prize.
“Everyone recognized him, but he was very humble and was happy to take time out for people to take photographs with him,” a spokesperson for the event told The Guardian. “It was a real pleasure to have him compete at our event.”
“I was shell-shocked,” said Appleby, who was one of the competitor of Hardy at the event. Tom Hardy said, ‘Just forget it’s me and do what you would normally do.”
Danny Appleby continued, “He’s a really strong guy… You wouldn’t think it with him being a celebrity. I’ve done about six tournaments and I’ve been on the podium in every one. But he’s probably the toughest competitor I’ve had — he certainly lived up to his Bane character, that’s for sure.”
Tom Hardy’s win at the Milton Keynes was not his only martial arts win of the year. According to the Guardian : “In August, the actor won the REORG Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Wolverhampton, a tournament which helps military personnel, veterans and emergency service workers and raises funds for them. Hardy is a trustee for REORG, a charity teaching jiu-jitsu to people suffering from PTSD and depression. Also for those who have serious injuries”
There are many upcoming movies of Hardy that have been pending for quite sometime now owing to the pandemic. As stated by, “The Raid” franchise director Gareth Evans, Tom Hardy will be seen with his upcoming movie, Havoc. If sources are to be believed then this upcoming movies is a crime drama. The story will explore the underworld. It revolves around a drug deal going wrong, while a detective is assigned to rescue the son of a politician from the chaos.
Hardy will be seen next in action for the 3rd installment of “Venom” movie, whose story is currently been developed by screenwriter Kelly Marcel along with Tom Hardy.

After the immense success of the 4th part in the Academy Award event, there was no doubt that we will be seeing the 5th part of the franchise. However the same was delayed due to COVID and the filming started late.
Tom Hardy is supposed to be a part of the next installments of the Mad Max films though his character in the film is still not confirmed. There is yet to be an announcement on the release dates and Hardy’s fans will go crazy over the news in the upcoming years. With the action scenes regularly becoming better and bigger, it would be interesting to see the hype the new venture would create.

This would be an indie film which would feature many new actors along with Tom Hardy. Hardy will be seen playing the main character in this movie which will be based around Vietnam war. Though led by Hardy there will be a bunch of other actors starring in this project like Bill Skarsgard, Ashton Sanders, Pete Davidson, and many others. The film is supposed to be directed by Rupert Sanders and the story is based on Tim O’Brien’s collection of stories.
