TMZ has uncovered that Taylor Swift was in fact asked to play at Super Bowl LVII, but she declined the invitation for a reason that we now know.

Swift was asked to lead the Super Bowl halftime show months ago, according to sources with intimate knowledge of the event. Taylor reportedly made it plain that she wouldn’t perform until all six of her albums had been redone.

Scooter Braun was a member of a group that bought the rights to her first six albums in 2019, as you are surely aware.

As she expressed her annoyance, Taylor was “sad and creeped out.” Taylor Swift swore to record them again in order to effectively recover possession when Braun sold the master recordings.

Red and Fearless, which she re-recorded, have already been made public.

Taylor reportedly wants to perform as the headlining act at a Super Bowl halftime concert, but timing is a problem right now. She might complete the final four albums, “Taylor Swift,” “Speak Now,” “1989,” and “Reputation,” in the upcoming year. If the re-recordings are completed, it would allow for a 2024 appearance, but nothing is certain.
