ICE raid in Ventura County sparks massive protests

Federal agents and protesters are throwing things at potentially hundreds of agents, as potentially hundreds of undocumented people are potentially rounded up for a huge federal credit. There are various types of clashes going on. The raid was ordered and it got kind of ugly. He was actually fired from here. He wasn’t injured, but it was kind of tense. Even emergency vehicles were being sent to Ventura County Fire to provide medical assistance to people on the side of the road who called 911 after being hit by gas or rubber bullets. Military helicopters can be seen flying low over the field, which is usually used to flush out people hiding. The officers and their federal officers have their shields up and they do it every once in a while whenever a vehicle tries to enter or exit when they start using gas. Throwing rocks at them or anything like that at this point is not from the vantage point of the Aventura fire officer who is being attacked by that gas, I was talking to a paramedic who was actually training to deal with the reaction to that gas they are working with who are seriously injured someone is throwing someone is breaking a window they are driving some of these suspects are taking out some illegal immigrants. And so it is. How many people were detained is not known how many people were in that caravan band that we saw it was just a huge show of force on both sides by the federal agents and by the members. It was the protesters versus these agents. You can hear these agents being shown earlier today. It’s funny because when I called The Ice House, which is the farm being rated. That was one of the questions. I asked the person on the phone if they would normally be able to get in the way they would normally be able to get in there and I know, I tell you, it would seem like a case of an operation as big as this one I have to tell you. I mean, you don’t have the right to hit officers’ cars or anything like that, you know, and you can see the line getting closer and closer and at some point it’s getting closer. You have a certain look on your face. Where we started a few hours ago, you know, I’m not surprised. Hopefully, the last brave officers will continue to enforce the law and that and what we understand is being taken away from that. There’s still a possibility of more arrests so this operation is not over and there’s a possibility of that if everything actually ends up coming true and sometimes the initial information is not always 100% accurate if they come true. This is going to be one of the biggest raids we’ve ever seen. Because this whole thing goes for people who want to contact their family members who might be in one of those white vans down there. You see the Bearcat vehicles as well as the protesters. Literally trying to stop the vans at different entry points. A back street if you will and they had protesters lined up there so they were trying to stop these vans but as you pointed out to intervene it’s a crime. Yes, we have special and big trucks that are trying to come back and they are not trying to stop medical vehicles like ambulances. They are trying to come because they believe that people are there to see us. In fact, I think they are more protesting now than family members. So we talked to some of the family members who have been here before and they are backing down a little bit. They are trying to get them all together so that they can try to get here and I can’t stand around and watch things that I believe are disgusting come out and not represent what I believe in. I watch the news and when something comes up locally like this, more water is thrown at the ghosts for waving the Mexican flag and they were walking around and they were reporting on this information about this, one of the two marijuana farms in this Glass House Farm is being targeted by the owner of the other for this huge illegal recruitment project. You know, couldn’t get close enough to his identity. When I spoke to them on the phone today, they didn’t have much information other than confirming that they were here. They were here and kind of an immigration situation and they just wanted to say if they were here because people were here legally or they were hiring them. I don’t know I know a lot of people hire and I can tell you from talking to some of the people that they have some? Yeah there are no papers, but some of the others tell me they have agricultural pass permits. So we’re not sure until we’re all sure. Well what they’re trying to do and I think I noticed because you know, if I can let me see if I’m a candidate, you do what’s called a field road actually vehicles that cut through them for the company that’s been detained at the time. Did we see what was going on? They get angry. Somebody says something and you know, it’s louder in a minute you’ll understand why I don’t see any of you vehicles, you know, I don’t know how to come out like this because if they do one I’m going to move us a little bit to the side
