Jake Paul is being sued by Eddie Hearn, two of the most prominent people in boxing after Jake claimed that the promoter bribed the judge, in teo recent high-profile matches.
According to a current lawsuit filed by Eddie and his firm, obtained by TMZ Sports. Matchroom Boxing, claimed that their reputation was subdued due to the Paul’s claims in an interview on September 20.
During the interview, Paul claimed that Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing bribed judge Glenn Feldman in the August Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua fight. Paul also claimed that Glenn was similarly paid off by Matchroom in the April Katie Taylor versus Amanda Serrano fight.
Taylor was victorious over Serrano by split decision, while Joshua lost by split decision to Usyk.
“Glenn Feldman appears in Saudi and scores Anthony Joshua to win the battle when each and every individual who watched the battle said it was anything but a split decision,” Jake Paul said. He also stated that it directly proves that the judge was being paid off by Matchroom Boxing.
Hearn incorporated Paul’s video interview as a display in his lawsuit which was filed by attorney Frank Salzano.
Jake also stated in the interview that it was “a bold statement and an accusation that I don’t take likely, but it’s just blatantly obvious. And they’re not even trying to hide it.”
Eddie Hearn who has charged Jake Paul for maligning – – referred to the remarks as “outlandishly false..”
He’s requesting harms in overabundance of $75,000.
